This year I took part in the Emerge Challenge Series with Unleashed Education, following on from last year’s Embark Challenge Series. It’s been another wonderful experience, working alongside so many talented photographers and creating fantastic portraits of some beautiful animals.

Over the course of the series, I’ve had the opportunity to meet new people, photograph some amazing dogs and cats, and explore creative ideas that have pushed me to look at my pet photography in new ways. I’m really proud of the portraits that came from these challenges and am grateful for the experiences that made them possible.

I was also very happy to have some success in the International Pet Photography Awards (IPPA) this year, winning three Silver Awards, a Bronze Distinction, and two Bronze Awards. Recognition like this is always lovely, but what I value most is the continued growth, learning and satisfaction that comes from doing what I love.

Next year I’ll be taking on some new challenges, including a few exciting projects here in Melbourne. I’ll be looking for models from time to time, so keep an eye out for those posts. I’m hoping to see some familiar faces as well as a few new ones.
