I don’t know if it’s just me, but as the seasons start to change, everything feels a bit different.

The mornings are darker, the light is softer, and my walks with Abraham have that slightly crisp autumn feel.

I’ve been enjoying taking a moment each day to sit on the deck with Abe, a cup of herbal tea in hand, just watching the world go by. The leaves are starting to change, and with the days getting shorter, it feels like things are slowing down just a smidge.

I used to feel a sense of loss at the end of summer, but somehow this year feels different. There’s something about this time of year that just feels hopeful.

Behind the scenes, things have been moving along too.

I’ve had the joy of photographing so many beautiful dogs and cats already this year, and I feel so grateful for that.

My studio is almost finished its planning phase. It’s currently an empty space with lots of ideas, and it will be exciting to see it take shape. I’ll keep you posted.

My husband and I have also just finished creating a custom backdrop for Dear Dog, which has been so, so much fun to work on.
