Hi everyone,

It’s been a little quiet around here lately, but behind the scenes things have been ticking along – and I’m excited to share a few updates.

First of all, you might’ve noticed that Abi B Photography has had a bit of a refresh. I’ve rebranded and launched a brand new website, and I’m really happy with how it’s all come together. It feels a lot more ‘me’ – simple, professional, and focused on what I love: creating meaningful artwork that celebrates your pets as they are. I’m also getting ready for the Emerge Challenge, which kicks off in May. It runs over six months, with a new photograph submitted every two weeks. I’ll be creating one image for each challenge, working with a different pet each time. The idea is to match the right pet to each brief, so they’re comfortable and confident during their session, and I can capture them at their fabulous best.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to create a body of work that’s thoughtful and creative – and the final images will be shared with an international audience of photographers and pet lovers, which is pretty exciting.

I haven’t started photographing for the challenge just yet – it officially kicks off in May – but I have started planning and matching pets to each brief. On a more personal note, I’m finally back to work after a break recovering from surgery. I’m walking Abe again (which we’re both happy about), and I’ve picked up the camera again too.

My first session back was with Gypsy, a 14-year-old Staffy who’s blind and deaf. She took it all in her stride and was a total legend throughout the shoot. She's also one of the few dogs that Abe can happily walk alongside without reacting!
